The West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly (WATRA) was founded in 2002 to create a unified platform for telecommunications and ICT regulators in the West African region. This platform was designed to facilitate the exchange of information, sharing of best practices, and coordination of regulatory actions among the member countries.
