The Infrastructure Development Working Group is dedicated to expanding and modernizing the telecommunications landscape across the sub-region.

The Infrastructure Development Working Group is dedicated to expanding and modernizing the telecommunications landscape across the sub-region. By addressing critical challenges in network coverage, broadband connectivity, and capacity building, this group drives the expansion of robust digital networks.

Key focus areas include:

  • Policy Harmonization: Developing unified recommendations to align infrastructure policies and regulations across member countries.
  • Investment & Innovation: Promoting regulatory frameworks that attract investment and support the deployment of next-generation technologies.
  • Regional Collaboration: Facilitating the sharing of knowledge, data, and best practices among WATRA members to eliminate connectivity gaps.
